These sessions provides an overview of dementia and caring for someone who has dementia. It focuses on practical tools to manage the emotions associated with change, including loss and grief.

These sessions provides an overview of dementia and caring for someone who has dementia. It focuses on practical tools to manage the emotions associated with change, including loss and grief.

Dementia Australia’s facilitators have specialist dementia knowledge, skills and experience. These sessions are focused on the carer and are delivered interactively. You will be encouraged to share your experiences alongside other carers giving you an opportunity to develop new support networks.

You will gain knowledge in:

  • your own responses to grief and loss
  • tools to help with support, networking and stress
  • strategies you can put in place to support your well-being

Suitable for: Family carers and family members of people living with dementia.
